THE IMPORTANCE OF IMAGINE PLAYING AND ROLE-PLAYING

Children create mental images by imagining the events they observe. They enrich their mental world with these mental images.

The child makes many observations with his sense organs starting from the moment he is born. Especially since he is passionate about adults, he observes them, sees how they do their work, examines the objects they use, wants to use them, tries to use them, collects the necessary information and imitates their movements. This is not just a mechanical imitation. Basically, the child knows what he is doing, he wants to be like an adult, he puts himself in the place of the adult. Most importantly, it structures your mind and personality. He creates his imaginary game according to his needs and wishes with meticulous effort, joy, enthusiasm, thinking and in a natural way. Imaginary play and role-playing is a very serious, very constructive occupation for the child. It develops both mental skills and personality of the child. Therefore, adults need to have a deep respect for the child's imaginary games and role-playing processes and act in a way that encourages them to do so.

A child playing imaginary games gives himself to the game, the role he plays, by using his mind, with his original efforts, by concentrating his attention freely and enthusiastically. It doesn't need motivation. He continues this role with contentment, joy and happiness. In this way, he begins to learn, adopt, see and understand the importance of the events he has lived and the things done around him. Finds the opportunity to control them. He/she puts the impressions and mental images he/she has obtained from his/her observations into practice by organizing, arranging and using his/her creativity. He develops his intelligence by strengthening these mental images. If they have concerns, they will get rid of it. It connects dreams with reality.

Imaginary play and role-playing have an important place in the social development of children. The child learns and adopts social behaviors through imaginary play.
